The course aims to strengthen participants’ understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) within inclusive education, focusing on their legal foundations and goals. It enables educators to collect and document relevant assessment data to better understand student profiles. Participants will learn to write measurable, functional IEP goals that align with strengths-based approaches and select appropriate instructional strategies and assistive technologies. The course promotes effective collaboration among teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams, equipping participants to monitor and adjust IEP goals effectively. Additionally, it emphasizes ethical and legally compliant IEP practices, with hands-on workshops for practical experience, ultimately fostering sustainable, inclusive school environments.

CURRICULUM
Module 1:
- Foundations of IEP Development – Legal and ethical frameworks of the IEP process.Assessment data: collecting, interpreting, documenting.
Module 2:
- Writing Present Levels & Setting SMART Goals – Identifying strengths, needs, barriers, and supports. Drafting PLAAFP statements from real student information.
Module 3:
- Instructional Planning & Accommodations – Designing individualized accommodations and modifications. Matching strategies and supports to student goals.
Module 4:
- Monitoring Progress & Implementation Fidelity – Adjusting IEP goals based on outcomes.Building an implementation timeline for each participant’s IEP.
Module 5:
- Finalization, Evaluation, and Presentations – Putting it all together: completing a full IEP. Final editing and polishing of individual IEP documents.
CERTIFICATION
At the end of the Erasmus training course, all participants receive official documentation confirming their successful completion of the programme. Each participant is awarded a Certificate of Attendance, issued by the organising institution, which verifies the learning outcomes achieved, the total number of training hours, and the course topics covered.
In addition, participants receive a Europass Mobility Certificate, prepared in accordance with the Erasmus+ quality standards. This document records the skills, competencies, and knowledge gained during the course and is fully recognised across Europe, making it a valuable addition to professional portfolios and CVs.
Together, these certificates provide participants with formal recognition of their professional development, supporting further career advancement, mobility opportunities, and validation of newly acquired competencies within their educational or professional institutions.
